Q: How did you get involved in Slugworks?
A: I learned about Slugworks during my time at UCSC through friends who mentioned the amazing equipment available. After visiting and seeing all the creative projects happening, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

Q: What machines or tools do you enjoy using the most?
A: I love working with the laser cutter and 3D printers. It’s so satisfying to turn a digital design into something tangible that you can hold in your hand.

Q: Favorite project you’ve worked on?
A: My favorite project so far has been designing and laser-cutting custom keychains for an art show. It was amazing seeing people excited about something I created from scratch!

Q: Any advice for students thinking about joining?
A: Don’t be intimidated by the machines or the space! Everyone starts somewhere, and the staff and community here are super supportive. Just jump in and try something new—you’ll learn so much.
